Talking to another sociopath [Nov. 29th, 2005|07:48 pm]
[mood |weirdweird]
[music |Dexys - Kevin Rowland's 13th Time]

Why do these people still exist?

I have been called some things in my time, but never been accused of being Canadian.

MMMM MMMM MMMM H&MMMM [Oct. 5th, 2005|06:52 pm]
[music |Some awful muzak that sounds like Jonathan King in 7/11]

We are dripping with joy after being played on Tartanpodcast.com. They chose the song that played nothing like us (which we're having remixed through a paranoid fear of sounding like The Bravery who simply aren't good at all) and the information about us is mostly incorrect but a big kiss to them nonetheless. We're right at the start.

I am in Stockholm for two weeks an am already dead bored.

PS Dave, if you see Moodie tell him to get me that phone number. 'Tis rather important.

Jockrock & Roll Suicide [Sep. 11th, 2005|09:13 pm]
[mood |lovedloved]
[music |beach boys - landlocked bootleg]

I found this not very flattering comment about my former band (Little Odessa) on a website about 'things to to in Dumfries', which must by default be the world's most depressing website:-

"AVOID TWISTER. music died in dumfries after the great depression of 2001. "Am fae twister, bet ye wanna pump me!" to the tune of rush hour debbie gibson - total shit pipe. Oh, and little odessa reek o pish, have done all their lifes. If you meet the band, be sure to offer them a bath and tell them they can get new clothes at the shelter - for dogs. If they leave the table whilst in the pub, to wack each other off, be sure to dunk your baws into their pints - they love it!!!!"

How dare he spread such lies.

Everyone knows 'Rush Hour' was by Jane Wiedlin

Is Pete Townshend is still researching that damn book? [Sep. 8th, 2005|07:24 pm]
[mood |sleepysleepy]
[music |Grass-Show - All That She Wants (ace of base, R Bood: prod.)]

Perhaps a slightly bad mood I was in for last entry dictated itself too much. Today was much better: guitars for 'Contemptuous Disdain' and 'Duality', which already sounds approximately 800% better than the very limp (not bizkit) demo that got released on J&C2. It now boasts the lyric "I couldn't wait for a chance/to wash you off of my hands". If anyone feels the need to talk me out of this before the vocals get done, then you are free do so so (and I'm not talking about the unsightly but parametricaly necessary grammatical error).

Hope this isn't insulting to the Americans on my friends list who suffered genuine trauma over the whereabouts of friends/relatives this week, but this news was at the very least a relief to myself:-

Ray from Nuts In May's illustrious film career [Sep. 5th, 2005|10:04 pm]
[mood |enragedenraged]
[music |Zu Zu's Petals - Don't Bomb When You're Bombhead]

I don't think they liked our cover of 'Hazard':-

http://www.metica.se/reviews/review_result.php?r_id=1495

"Richard Marx each on your time well-known as an almost equally big tonårspopsidol as ever the guys in Wham. Clearly was the more than I as could to discern considerablily ljupare qualities in his big hit “Hazard” from 1992, than as first thought to be the case. Glasgows The Martial articles' version of Marx old slagdänga leaves on the other hand a lot of other to desire."

Bunch of plebs!

I may be biased, but this might have been the best two hours I've ever spent in a cinema:
